Management & Traceability of animals born at Ukutula
Ukutula is a registered member of two reputable ownership tracking organizations for the ethical management, identification and trace-ability of our animals – including an international system that ensures identification and trace-ability through DNA analysis. In addition, by law, all registered captive breeding facilities need to keep a “studbook” and provide the national/provincial registration authority with breeding records.
To ensure trace-ability and transparency, all Ukutula’s predators are microchipped and registered with an independent system and organisation: GMP Basic (gmpbasic.co.za) – before 2019, registered also with Wildlife Stud Services (Dr Paul Labout’s company WS2).
