Professional Wildlife Events

The Ukutula Conservation Center (UCC) includes a unique Wildlife Conservation Center & Bio-Bank for endangered wildlife species. Our Vision is Conservation through Research & Education and this exactly what has been done at Ukutula since Willi & Gill Jacobs bought the reserve in 2006. (Events submitted for CPD accreditation)

Event Admission

Attendance of the One Day Professional Conference (Wildlife Research), is strictly by pre-booked tickets (CLICK HERE) only – please contact the UCC event organisers (CLICK HERE) directly should you have any questions, inquiries or want to exhibit/sponsor/advertise at the event.

  • DISCOUNTED EARLY RATES available – To qualify for early rates, registration fees must be received before or on 23 September. After this date normal rates will be charged.
  • Please note that only school learners and teachers, as well as full-time undergraduate and post graduate students at tertiary institutions will be considered for student rates.

Rules & Safety

Since the UCC is located within the greater Ukutula Game Reserve, the same safety rules will apply to guests at the UCC:

  • Do NOT leave the vehicle as lions on a bush walk may be present
  • Do NOT litter
  • No loud noise or music allowed
  • No private pets/animals allowed
  • Please note gate times: 07:00 to 18:00

Food & Beverages

Coffee, tea and fruit juice as well as light refreshments will be served before, during and after the event, with a full lunch served between 13:00 and 14:00

Ukutula Lodge & Game Reserve

Known as the “place of quiet” the lodge is nestled in lush bush veld where the roar of the lion can be heard for miles around. Ukutula is conveniently situated within an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The reserve comprises 260 hectares of unspoiled bush veld boasting a variety of wildlife species, including predator and antelope species, giraffe, zebra and more. Ukutula is also home to more than 130 different bird species.
Ukutula supports and apply the IUCN’s One-Plan-Approach (OPA) to Species Conservation and Animal Breeding Principals.
